St. Helens are one of the oldest members of the Rugby Football League. Founded by William Douglas Herman in 1873 at the Fleece Hotel. Their very first match was against Liverpool Royal Infirmary on the 31st of January 1874.
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Shirts
In 1873 a group of young men from the local Holy Trinity Church formed the Wakefield Trinity club. Wakefield Trinity is also one of the original twenty-two rugby clubs that formed the Northern Rugby Football Union in 1895 which makes them one of the world’s first rugby league teams.
